Miss en scene
The male Disabled man in the wheelchair is viewed in the center of the rule of thirds this connotes that he is important making him Superior in the shot.
The females back is also turned to us implying that she's not as important this signifies that she is infer subverting the stereotypical view of disabled people because ab led people are normally seen as important.
Disability was represented by the use of the micro element editing.
Some long cuts were used on the ab led woman leaving her to dominate the scenes this signifies that she is Superior.
The fade used a the end of the scene faded out on the female ab led character connoting that she is more important as the scene ends on her this tells the audience that the disabled man is represented as less important as the woman dominates this shot portraying him as infer conforming to the stereotypical view on people with disabilities as they are looked down upon .

MISE EN SCENE OF THE SCARY MOVIE 4 POSTER
I think the poster of the movie Scary movie 4 is an good example of a Mis en scene because it has used a dark background cannoting that the genre could possiblybe a horror but the poster also has alot of colourful clothing wich could represent the comedy genre. The poster shows not only the characters that are in the movie but also fiction characters that have been other horror or thriller movies.
The design of the poster is the characters sitting down all together in a dark cinema, with the title Scary Movie in bold red writing this could signify that it beeing a scary move that blood will be expected in the film.
The poster connotes that facial expressions on the characters faces show fright but doesnt really convince viewers that the film is completly a horror as some characters have funny, excited expressions this dennotes that the film has aspect of horror but could mainly be a comedy.
Preliminary task
In this task we wre asked to film a 2 minute thriller sequence from a storyboard we created in a group of 4 .
This was done by sorting out the characters set to play a part in the scenes and filming all the shots in the locations choosen for are scenes.
The outline of the story is about a female student (Rebbecca)being haunted by a girl who comitted suiside in result of being bullied by the student and her friend, she continues to follow her and seeks revenge.
At the start of the sequence we used a point of view shot as Rebbecca was washing her hands so the audience can view the action through her eyes ,I then downloaded a Soundtrack and placed it within the sequence to give the audience an idea of what genre it is.
At this point of the editing i was aware that there was a few jump cuts remaining in the film that could have been corrected as those parts were cut to soon.
As she looked in the mirror the girl is seen in the reflection but when she turned around she was not there as she looked around we used an eyeline match shot so the audience can see what she is viewing as she looks around this is done with an over the sholder shot to show that no one is around. This leaves enigma codes towards the audience making them wonder who she saw in the reflection or wondering if she seeing things or was the person acually behind her.
An High angle shot is made while she runs up the stairs then a close up on her hand on the handel as she opens the door to enter the room as she enters a dolly shot is used to follow her movement as she walks in between this shot the soundtrack is cut an silence remains within the scene.
A tracking shot is focused in Rebbecca's foot steps as she walks around a table to make tea ,we then used a tilt shot focused on the front of Rebbecca's legs to signify that she is being watched from under the table .
Slower ans slightly quiter soundtrack was used in this part to build tention and suspence within the scene we decided to use omnicient narration this was done using a tilt shot going down from the back of her legs then seeing the girl hiding under the table watching her making the audience aware of this but not the character.
A close up was used of when the girl grabed her legs but when Rebbecca looked under no one was around, with her tea she sat down in a seating area were she was joined by her friend here we filmed a two shot sequence and added some dialog.
A close up is made on Rebbecca's shakey hand movement as she makes an attempt to drink her tea. A mid shot is used to show the friends reaction loocking confused ,when asked "Are you allright?"
Rebbecca explains to the friend that the girl they used to bully not only committed suicide but is now been haunting her,a close up is shot of the friend and she gives a careless reaction showing us that she thinks she is crazy ,instantly the doors start to shake making them jump then a fade out was added to end the scene.

The strangers thriller trailer
The thriller trailer of the film The strangers begins with an establishing shot of a house in the giving us an idea of were the film will be based.
At the start the trailer using Transitions and fades, shows inside the house with candels and rose pettles on a bed from this the audience can be easily misleaded in to thinking that the movie could possibly be a romantic while introducing a male and female character in a two shot scene making it obvious what kind of relationship is between the them.
During my analysis I have identfied several conventions used in terms of dialog the two characters whisper there conversations at the start while the music is a soft piano piece is played giving you a relaxed, romantic mood.
Unexspectedly a bang or a gun shot occurs which breaks the romantic mood and could possibly give a thrill as it was not expected this gives the viewers the idea that something is wrong.
Leading from that the mood of the trailer changes as silence emerges leaving only the sounds of the wind blowing empty swings with the lighting of the scenes becoming darker to make it more chilling and the characters body language show fear and awarness.
Through out this change it lets the viewers now that the movie is inspierd by true events which will seem more realistic and shows the couple looking around having the thought they are being watched with slow tempo music creating suspence. This gives the audience the idea that this is a thriller as it begins to look mysterious.
Silence breaks out again when thers a long shot of the female character standing still looking around her when a character emerges from the shadows in a mask watchin her (0:48) this creates enigma codes for the audience as they would be wondering who the masked person is? and why they are watching the couple?.
It is realised that they are being watched but by 3 characters in masks making the audience wonder who they are and what do they want the silence is broken and a broken record is played .
The sub genre will be more i likely to be stalker thriller as the main characters are being watched to a point were violence and weponds appeare in the scenes with fades and fast cuts showing all the action of the characters showing alot of fear by being chased and stalked in and out of the house.
The music then cuts for a little short dialog at the end of th trailer which confusses the audience making them wonder even more who they are "Why are you doing this ?" asked by the female when the audience thinks it will give an answer that will make sence the masked killer replies with "Because your home".
This creates more enigma towards te audince as the trailer reveals no clues.

AS Media Camrea shots

This Mid-shot was taken from the stomach and upwards to show the audience more on what the character could be thinking by its facial expression, body structure, body language, this just shows a more closer view for the audience to give the a brief idea on what the character is about.
This shot is a Low angel as you can see the camrea shot is at a very low angle this shot is made to show the audience that the character is a powerfull figure or is look up to.
This shot was used to represent thet High angle shot This shot shows the opposite to the Low angel shot insted of portraing th character as very powerful it acutlly gives the audience the idea of a very weak character.
p.s miss berry me and Roxann couldn't upload any more shots because nicole and rebecca have the rest and we were unable to get hold of them after school but we can have some extra shots uploaded for you by the end of the day.... =]
